Freamon is a denizen of the modern world, allegedly hailing from NY, according to some, not relevant, says he. What matters is the music -in this case- three finely honed and carefully crafted dancefloor gems, presented together as “The Black Grid EP”, served up with love the way they used to be, the way they ought to be.

“This Thing Called You” is underpinned by a downright mean & atavistic beat, topped with musical samples like jagged shards of light, making for an utterly irresistible combination. On the flip, “What We Believe” is a deep house number built around a driving, thumping bass, chopped-up vocals & crystalline string stabs, while “Girl Got Style” rounds things off nicely, morphing and blurring the lines between rocking house dub beats and pure seventies Caribbean soul-disco.
